When merging two nearly identical files, gpyfm can be confused when trying to
match up regions, and get itself into a state where at a minimum, it will
always do the wrong thing, and at worse, it will assert several times, and do
even worse things.
Dave has a bundle from a workspace of mine that demonstrates it, or I can
provide a copy if needed.
