Hi,

Following are notes from the SCM Migration Project meeting held on
11/29/07. The purpose of the meeting was to talk with the people
working on the tools to gather status and information.

Thanks.

Bonnie

Notes, SCM Migration Project Meeting
Thu, 11/29/07, 9am PST

Attendees:
Vijay Balakrishna
Nathan Bush
Jim Carlson
Bonnie Corwin
Mike Kupfer
Rich Lowe

* Agree on what 'done' means wrt to labeling a tool 'done' on
   genunix tables

   = known work is complete; code in project gate; ready for formal
     code review

* Personnel avaiability

   - Vijay is back to his day job as of this week; finishing one
     last bug fix
   - Nathan is available through January
   - No word on Ken/Vladimir since they didn't attend
     - Assume from Vladimir's prior email and lack of response to
       request for status that he is unavailable

* Brief discussion

   - Plan is to integrate all the tools at once rather than piecemeal
   - Plan is to not migrate a consolidation until all the tools are
     integrated
     - Question about whether consolidations can use development copies
       of tools if everyone uses them (TM and hg users)
       - Response: might as well integrate if everyone will be using
       - Concern: as soon as there's a problem, "we" will be on the
         hook for a fix, and this work is not staffed

* Walked through tools lists

   - Developer tools
     - 17 tools listed
       - 9 ready for code review
         cddlchk, copyrightchk, findunref, hdrchk, cstyle/jstyle, sdrop,
         webrev, keywords, wx2hg
       - 1 will be removed from the list because not done and no staffing
         gPyFm
       - 4 require testing/review to determine status
         ws, wx, xref, dblookups
       - 3 in progress - 1, probably 2, need staffing help
         nightly, Cadmium, rti/rtichk
   - Gatekeeper tools
     - Not much information available
     - No owners/no staffing

* 12/3/07 update: Bonnie updated the lists on genunix with information
   from the meeting and also notes from the October meeting about GK
