What ever happened with this?  I'd suggest proposing a project on
tools-discuss.  You may want to state some background, but the
background in the initial mail seems like it would be enough.

Well, that would be good, but it'd be far better to see the stuff, and
start thinking about how it would work outside.  Given that very few
people outside Sun have seen or used the existing WebRTI, I'm not sure
what conversation could achieve beyond basic introductions.
