I recommend signing up on website-discuss at opensolaris.org and tools-discuss at opensolaris.org[1], and introducing yourselves to the folks there. Who you are, what your backgrounds are, what you'd like to do with OpenRTI, that sort of thing. I don't know if you'll spark much interest from people willing to help, but I think folks will be pleased that you're opening up code. There's some information on projects (how they fit into the governance model, resources for project leads, etc) at http://www.opensolaris.org/os/projects/#portal. So I also recommend looking that over, at least enough to get a sense of what information is there. I recommend having an informal discussion on the lists[2] before making a formal project proposal. I think that's enough to get started. If you've got any questions, let me know. mike [1] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo [2] Maybe pick one list to hold the discussion on, and tell the other list that the discussion is happening. Assuming that OpenRTI is intended to just run on opensolaris.org, website-discuss seems like the better list to have any initial discussions on.
