Hi, I've been offline for 2 days...

Ok, I've tried -| and now I get a non empty log msg but... the same corrupted log message:
mistral:~# cat /tmp/somefile
$VAR1 = 'bug 26: A?\\195?\\177ado una linea a fich2 y pruebo el tema de los acentos cami?\\195?\\179n, AL?\\195?\\129, ?\\195?\\177i?\\195?\\177li
';

This is very strange... It's corrupted in the file read becouse, as I previously said, I get the right output when I issue the same command:

mistral:~# svnlook info -r 30 /var/svn-repos/test_rep_a
javi

bug 26: Añado una linea a fich2 y pruebo el tema de los acentos camión, ALÁ, ñiñli

Anything else to try?

I don't know what happens but when I do this chage:

    # Find some information about this activity
    #open ( SVNLOOK_INFO, "svnlook info " . $svn_tools_argument . "
$svn_txn $svn_repository |" );
    open ( SVNLOOK_INFO, "<:encoding(UTF-8)", "svnlook info " .
$svn_tools_argument . " $svn_txn $svn_repository |" );

OK, try this one. I had to play with the open parameters to make sure we
are reading in the output of the pipe:

open ( SVNLOOK_INFO, "-|:encoding(UTF-8)", "svnlook info " .
$svn_tools_argument . " $svn_txn $svn_repository" );

(note that I've had to change @DEVEL_CONFIG_SCM_BINARY_SVNLOOK@ for
svnlook becouse perl complains abaout unknown symbol... I hope that's
right...)

That's all-right. Yes, the '@'s where used by autoconf in preprocessing.
