At least I can tell that it can work in your environment. ;-)

This is pretty much like my server running most recent Perl
(5.8.8.820) and MySQL (5.0.37), too.

This should mean that something is wrong with your configuration or
you don't use SCMBug as it should be. Those messages occur if you do
something in Subversion which passes SCMBug but don't need any
activity by SCMBug.

Else you would have messages like the following one for example:

Fri Apr 13 16:39:50 2007 127.0.0.1:2450 Processing an 'activity_tag' for
'Zustellung' from SCM user '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'
or
Thu Apr 12 16:22:18 2007 127.0.0.1:1851 Processing an 'activity_verify' for bug
id '377' from SCM user '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'

Do you use Subversion with TortoiseSVN? Could you post an example log
message which you commit for a special bug?

This seems to be a minor bug I reported earlier but didn't have the
time to look deeper into, maybe this weekend. It seems that SCMBug
writes the numbers of the configured servers IP directly as characters
to the log file. what IP did you configured? Maybe those numbers equal
your characters ASCII-Code?

I get for empty rectangles in my log and configured 127.0.0.1.

I would suggest you post your complete deamon.conf and glue.conf.

Auto works for me, it recognizes Windows and sets the mode to
threaded.

The regex for finding the bug-ID in the provided log message of
Subversion could be one problem, I often typed "Bug xyz: " instead of
"bug xyz: " in my log messages, too. ;-)
