I also have a need to get JIRA and SVN working together well; It's been
a low prority for a while but should be back on the radar in May and
June.  Would dearly love to make this happen, so maybe we can work
together on this.

I don't believe Jacek is assigned to this anymore (he works for one of
my company's subKs); but his patch should be a good starting point.

Sounds smashing! Would you be able to support it in the future if it
works out ?

You could try starting from Jacek's patch. I would recommend you look at
the Bugzilla.pm.in backend as an example.

Also, I would *highly* recommend you run the testsuite against the JIRA
backend that you will implement. Have a look at doc/DEVELOPING on how to
do that and I guess try to follow the example.

Is there some way the Makefile can know we are running on Mac OS X so we
don't use "-p". Not using it for all systems sounds limiting.

About the bugtracker, I'd rather I didn't give you an account yet. Could
you send the patches here for now ?
