Sometimes I idealize things too much, so I saw that new SCons site should be release together with new major SCons version. Getting activity stream would be helpful, yes. I often use this on GitHub to track the progress. But that requires aggregating data from mailing lists, repository and probably IRC. Sometimes the information is just too much and it should be transformed into visual items.
