Reiterating something in an off-list exchange between Jason and myself: ctypes is in the standard distribution, CFFI is not (at least not yet). This means ctypes is standard and CFFI is not. Of course CFFI is a package that can be installed using conda or pip, but it is a package that must be installed. CFFI is nontheless, at least for me, better than ctypes as you just use a C prototype for each entry rather than the argtypes, rettype system that ctypes uses. -- Russel. ============================================================================= Dr Russel Winder t: +44 20 7585 2200 voip: sip:[email protected] 41 Buckmaster Road m: +44 7770 465 077 xmpp: [email protected] London SW11 1EN, UK w: www.russel.org.uk skype: russel_winder
