Hello USA, are you receiving us? Where on earth did you get a name like
"ladida"? Posh folk who put on airs are oftimes described as being
"lah-de-dah", but I'm sure that's not the reason.

I'm quite new to Perthshire, so I'm still finding out about where to find
music. However, a good place to start would be Dunkeld, where Dougie
Maclean owns the Taybank Hotel and makes sure there's plenty music going
on. I have been to the session on a Thursday evening which sounded pretty
good (I've yet to join in, but I'll do that soon).
There's a folk club in Dunblane on Sunday evenings; I've never been, but I
hear it's very good, very friendly. I have heard that there's a
twice-weekly session in Dunblane also (Wednesdays), but I haven't been
there (Ted - have you been?).
I have heard of some other sessions:
Burrelton, N of Perth - Cathkin Inn, Tues (I've never been)
Dunblane - Stirling Arms, Suns
Dunblane - Village Bar, every 2nd Wed
Dunkeld, Tay View, Thurs (and other nights)
Perth - The Silver Broom, Weds (I think this is almost dead. The night I
went there were two other people there.
Last time I spoke to the organiser
he said he was going to give it up)
Dunning, SW of Perth - Tuesdays, I think (I think this one has fizzled out
as well, but one of the participants told
me to let him know if I were going and
he'd organise something!).
Best of luck, ladida. Where did your family fiddlers come from? Any
stories about them you can share?
