Thanks for the idea! But is that representative of a disease or a courteous
way of addressing a woman? Or is it neither and I just need to learn Gaelic
to figure it out?

I look forward to seeing it... I'm looking for just the right celtic cross
for something I'm designing.

I wish I had more stories about the fiddling end but those seem to be a bit
more obscure. I'll see what I can find or make up. I did, however, find a
music book here (did I write about this before?) that made its way over from
Scotland. It's a pre-1846 copy of "Lowe's Collection" and contains all six
volumes in one large book. It's inscribed in the front by Alexander Walker.
The fact that it was such a lovely collection was reason enough to purchase
it but that it was owned by Alexander Walker made me drool... anyone else
drooling yet or do you want something more lively? Any other Alexander
Walker fans?
Last but not least... as I get myself ready for travel to Scotland I would
LOVE recommendations on the top 10 or 20 fiddle tunes (most played) that I
would be likely to hear or need to know. I've collected stacks of books and
music so tune names would likely be sufficient to get me started. I would
be interested in seeing what is most commonly played from one area to the
next.... here's hoping for several responses.
Good night from the U.S.A.,
Dianne
