Hello to all you folk out there.  I hope you will forgive some promotion of a great fiddle weekend, but it is run by a community based cultural project here in Edinburgh, so its just for you edification and pleasure. Yes the biggest Gaitherin of scots fiddlers anywhere, takes place on the weekend of 24 25 26 November in the Assembly rooms, Edinburgh. There are 46 seperate events, concerts, ceilidhs, open stage, recitals, lectures, workshops, masterclasses, sessions, with Alasdair Fraser, Catriona McDonald, John McCusker, Paul Anderson, and the cream of Scotlands fiddlers, We also has guests from Donegal and Hungary. The crac is mighty, with late night sessions in local pubs going on into the night. We expect 100 performers and 400 fiddlers, and will sell 2,500 tickets over the weekend.
