Brava Jan! I still play my Gibson Fireside Pipes and most (especially the
neighbors) appreciate that I am not calling the troops to war with the GHPs.

Are you still planning to go to NYC next April for the March there? I'd
love to hook up with you and the band if you're going.

I've sorta introduced myself to the list in the past but in a nutshell, I'm
a classical pianist who took up the GH Pipes as a midlife crisis. I live in
Montana and play with a small band here. Like some others, the fiddle stuff
is over my head and I'll never figure out the abcs, but I really enjoy this
list and manage to gleen some information off it. Traditional music is very
different from classical music and I enjoy learning more about it. I just
returned from a whirlwind trip through Ireland, and I'm looking forward to
revisiting Scotland maybe next year.
