Perhaps so the readers of the list can use it, with no expectation of any
wider audience? I write differently depending on what audience I think
is at the other end.
If this is going on a website (i.e. so any spammer in the universe until
the end of time can read it), NO EMAIL ADDRESSES unless the transcriber
explicitly agrees to it.
As far as I'm concerned I'd like my name and website URL included, no more.
I'd rather have my US social security number made public than my email
address.
