Hi All, Here's a general knowledge question for you.
Last night, a friend said there are four or five Scottish Lakes. I know about the Lake of Monteith, but which are the others? (I mean bodies of water which actually have "Lake" in their name instead of "Loch".) Cheers, Ian PS I have been told the Lake of Monteith was called that because the local (unpopular) land-owner wanted it named after himself, so to spite him everyone called it Lake instead of Loch. Can anyone verify or deny this tale? -- IndigoVision Ltd http://www.indigovision.com/ The Edinburgh Technopole, Bush Loan, Edinburgh, EH26 0PJ Tel: [+44] (0)131 475 7234 Fax: [+44] (0)131 475 7201 Personal: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.scottishdance.net Feed the world: http://www.thehungersite.com/ Posted to Scots-L - The Traditional Scottish Music & Culture List - To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
