Hi All,

Here's a general knowledge question for you.

Last night, a friend said there are four or five Scottish Lakes. I know
about the Lake of Monteith, but which are the others? (I mean bodies of
water which actually have "Lake" in their name instead of "Loch".)

Cheers,

Ian

PS I have been told the Lake of Monteith was called that because the
local (unpopular) land-owner wanted it named after himself, so to spite
him everyone called it Lake instead of Loch. Can anyone verify or deny
this tale?
