Last week my Wednesday Slow Session was under way with about 25 participants when one of the regulars stood up and caught everybody's attention. He launched into a lovely speech, basically to say thanks to me for setting it up and running it. I was then presented with a bottle of Lagavulin - all to my complete astonishment. There was a card with it signed by loads of people and full of complimentary comments. Wow! It was wonderful, fantastic, and no' bad all at once.
As I'm not going to be attending over the summer, I've compiled a list of sets so that they can consult and never run out of ideas of what to play. Anyone interested can see it at http://www.argonet.co.uk/users/gatherer/scottish/sess.html Now listening to 'Borders Fiddles' - whit braw, man! Bob Hopkirk is a joy. So.
