I concur with a lot Toby's choices, but I'm going to favor my instrument. And sorry, I can't keep to 10 titles either!
1. The Harp Key (Alison Kinnaird) 2. The Lothian Collection (Alison Kinnaird) 3. The ANGUS Fraser collection 4. Adam Craig Collection (lots of it playable on wire harp direct from his arrangements) 5. The Scots Musical Museum 6. Music for the Lute in Scotland (Robert Phillips) 7. Simon Fraser Collection 8. McGlashan Collection 9. The Athole Collection 10. The Skye Collection 11. The Gesto Collection 12. Patrick McDonald's Collection I enjoy the McGlashan collection, I found my favorite reel hiding in there. I went through my bookcase, and I found one collection I've never even opened: The Morrison Collection of Airs and Qucksteps. Has anyone on the list got that one? Any treasures in there? (Save me the time sightreading through it.) Toby, the Harp and Claymore eludes me. What gems are in there that I'm not seeing? (Go easy on me...it's been a long time since I went through it, and perhaps I'm also more hopeful than I should be, given it's name.) --Cynthia Cathcart http://www.cynthiacathcart.net/ Posted to Scots-L - The Traditional Scottish Music & Culture List - To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
