Willie Hunter, like other Shetland fiddlers, was very keen on Scottish fiddle music, and plays more Scottish-style fiddling than Shetland - if memory serves. > For Something Totally Different, try J.F. There was a casstte, which I think I have, which combined previously unissued Dickie recordings with tracks by his grandson (?). Also, Sleepytown are going to reissue the Topic LP of Dickie's stuff soon. It's an acquired taste in my opinion, but it's an interesting document of that particular style. Re Hector MacAndrew recordings: I get the impression he didn't record an awful lot, but I have three LPs which feature him: VARIOUS, THE FIDDLER'S COMPANION HECTOR MACANDREW, SCOTTISH FIDDLE MUSIC SCOTTISH FIDDLERS TO THE FORE I've got a couple more with odd tracks by him.
