Hi, I had a problem a while back, when my windows partition ate my balls^H^H^H^H / partition, and some other bits too. I copied everything from /home through windows using ext2fs.exe and then reinstalled linux (a bit more out of reach this time) and copied the stuff back. 2 files (.gnome-desktop and .ssh2) copied over and show up as yellow over black in ls -al in colour, have numeric usernames and rm -f gives "can't unlink", even as root. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? fsck on that particular file? I wouldn't care so much if it wasn't for gnome complaining about it all the time.
