Hi,

Sounds like a resolver problem. What does your /etc/resolv.conf and
/etc/nsswitch say?

You might want to try adding "usepeerdns" to the list of pppd options.
Most/Some IPS's PPP are configured to tell you the DNS servers each time
you log in. With the usepeerdns option, pppd will create a file
/etc/ppp/resolv.conf containing these servers.

Works for me for NTLWorld, YMMV.
