I'm leaving the place I'm contracting at the moment and they're looking
for someone to replace me. It'd be a four month contract initially but I
was brought in on a three month contract initially, and that was two years
ago.
They're looking for:
UNIX - Linux and one commercial UNIX (bonus points for Dynix and
Solaris) at least two years at support/admin level
Solid PERL and Shell scripting
Substantial experience with Samba
Some experience of managing database servers (though not
necessarily the databases themselves)
Any exposure to MUMPS an advantage.
Any exposure to data migration issues (bit endianness etc) a big
advantage.
I don't stand to make any money from this (I'm not an agent) but they are
a good company to work for and deserve a decent person (i.e a Linux
fan). They pay pretty well too. This would be a direct contract so there'd
be no agency margin.
