Hello
I have a Mitac 6020+ laptop (bought from Evesham micros)
I used to run mandrake 7 on the laptop with out a problem. However one
of my "friends" dropped the laptop and the Hard Disc had to be replace.
It was a 6GB hard disc. It is now a 10gb hard disc. When I try to
install Mandrake 8 I get the following error appearing in the kernel
messages
Partiton Check
Hda: hda: timeout wating for DMA

It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack
