It probably will be easier. I think lilo has less of a problem
these days where your GNU/Linux partition is located.
As there's a four primary/three primary, one extended DOS/Windows
limit, I would make your first partition primary, for use by
Windows and make the rest of the drive an extended, with logical
drives.
