It was about 1 am when I tried this so not exactly sure
what I had chosen but will try and go through the options 
again tonight. If I remember correctly, I think I did try
to make a primary and then an extended partition but fdisk
seemed to be trying to verify the 20gb linux partition and
promted me if I wanted to use all of this space.
