Eerm, if it's just linux, then you don't need to worry in the future. Ensure that your timezone is set to "Europe/London" and it just "Does The Right Thing"(tm) at least mine did. I really _dont_ fancy staying at work resetting all those servers at 0200 otherwise. Set "hardware clock to GMT" if it's only linux. Makes life easier in longterm. Then investigate ntpd / ntpdate if you want to be really accurate.
