Running Redhat 7 with a vanilla 2.2 kernel on an AMD Athlon. I get this message when the machine boots:
/: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY. An error occurred during the file system check. Dropping you to a shell; the system will reboot when you leave the shell. Give root password for maintenance (or type Control-D for normal startup); So I put in the root password and get (Repair filesystem) 1# And when I type yes I get vertical lines of Ys. Any idea how I can get my box running again? aedan -- Windows eXPerimental All your computers are belong to us. http://www.surak.freeserve.co.uk http://homepage.mac.com/aedan/ -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.lug.org.uk http://www.linuxportal.co.uk http://www.linuxjob.co.uk http://www.linuxshop.co.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------
