Hi all
Sorry if I've double posted.
I hope you might be able to help me with this one. This is my first posting
in this group so you will forgive me if my form is incorrect.
I have SuSE 7.2 running as a server on a small network which has one other PC
which runs win2k and is connected to the server via a hub. I have two NICS -
eth0 connected to a cable modem and eth1 my internal LAN. I access the
internet thru a proxy server and I have set up samba to act as my file
server. My queston is this.
I have set up fetchmail with the use of webmin to collect mail from my ISPs.
This is okay but as I also have kmail configured, I'm not sure why I need
fetchmail. What I would like to do is forward my mail onto my win2k
laptop but I'm not sure if this has to be configured in sendmail, fetchmail
or even procamil; or perhaps a combination of all three. I've read lots of
HOWTOs but this one has had me thinking for some time so I feel now is a good
time to ask for some help. I would also like to at the same time change my
domainname from linux.xxxx to mydomain.co.uk. Would I be right in saying
that I only need to do this is in:
/etc/hosts
/etc/HOSTNAME
and of course
hosts and lmhosts in the /etc folder on my win2k box
