I tried Demon on exactly that package. I told them i wanted at least 70hrs a week ( i didn't even ask for permenant ) and they would not give me any assurance that it would be within their "acceptable use". I'm still waiting a response , some two months later , as to if 70hrs is acceptable use. I'm also concerned about the ratio of modems to people. Whilst i don't have any problems at the moment with Freeserve , i remember the bad old days of engaged lines for hours on end with Screaming.net ( World Online , then Tiscali ). Plusnet's �100 a month package is a 1:1 ratio , i get my own personal modem. My company prefers that because the clock is ticking from the moment a problem is reported , i usually have between an hour and three hours to fix a problem , if not were fined 74k per unresolved problem. Thats a lot of money and "i couldn't get online" doesn't cut much ice if we fail to meet the deadline.
