This is a copy of an email i sent a week ago. Wondered why i didn't get a reply, and then realised it was because i sent it to a queen list. I did eventaully get one answer though which wasn't bad, but anyway here is the post
Hi Folks Is there a Linux program out their that can read and write to an outlook express mailbox folder? Ideally I want to set all my email boxes up in Linux, as well as windows, but don't want to have some messages on Linux and some on windows, and also don't want to have to boot between the 2 to check mail twice each time I want to know if I have any new emails. I currently have mandrake 7.2 (will be 8.1 when I get it installed just arrived today) and windows xp with outlook express 6. Outlook express writes file in a .dbx format. anybody recognize that extension as being one that Linux can read from bad write to? Also slightly off topic, I have to yet again praise john winters at the Linux emporium. I phoned him at 3:30pm yesterday to order mandrake 8.1 and it arrived this morning. Not bad...18 hours...9 quid for the 3 mandrake cd's and a free debian 2.2r4 i386 non-us cd....very little sleep :) TIA Phil Deane http://www.MiracleExpress.force9.co.uk -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.lug.org.uk http://www.linuxportal.co.uk http://www.linuxjob.co.uk http://www.linuxshop.co.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------
