Perhaps you arent burning the audio correctly, i use the following
script to burn audio cd's
for I in *.mp3
do
mpg123 --cdr - "$I" | cdrecord -v speed=4 dev=0,1,0 -audio -pad
-nofix -
done
cdrecord -v speed=4 dev=0,1,0 -audio -fix
