Err...

Guys, far be it for me to be the voice of reason, but, X-Calibre may or may not be reading this...

They're gonna know who they've employed recently, and they're gonna put that person under intense scrutiny.

At the end of the day, the wages may not be the best, the conditions may not be the best, and they may have "screened" their applicants a tad unfairly, but from having spoken to a couple of companies recruiting Linux people, it's no wonder.

From what I can ascertain, whenever a Linux job gets advertised, the companies involved are deluged with applicants, mostly from people who've installed RH or Debian once, and are thus l33t...

They're struggling to identify people who know what they're doing, and, perhaps (there's a human element involved here) getting it wrong.

I don't think that we want to discourage people from advertising jobs on the Scotlug list, they may be not the best paid jobs, but, there's always people further down the food-chain who are happy to take on lower paid jobs, at least think of them.

HTH

Kevin
