lol :)

An interesting path to tread is remakes - take an old Spectrum (or other
classic 8-bit or 16-bit) game and update it on a modern platform such as a
PC running dos, doze or linux. Quite a few have popped up, remaking games
such as Skool Daze, Lords of Midnight and Three Weeks in Paradise. A nice
place to start is http://www.retrospec.org/ (which sadly appears very much
broken) and http://retro-remakes.emuunlim.com/

<shamelessplug> If anyone's interested in CDs brimpacked with Spectrum
stuff, drop me a line, or go to http://neuro.zensoft.net/woscd/

I'll now go outside and commit harikiri :)

Incidentally, as part of that Spectrum CD thing, I'm thinking of getting a
DVD-R drive - if I go ahead and get it, would slug folk be interested in
ISOs (say mandrake or debian) bunged onto a DVD-R at media cost (or if you
supplied media) for easy archival?
