hate to say it, but it was a doddle to set up here - once cygwin + xf86 was
all downloaded, it too about 10 minutes to get it all up and running - I
soon had mozilla 0.9.9, plenty of xterms and so on running off one of my
debian boxes in a nice X server window on my dual head doze 2k box.

only problem is it defaults to twm - bleh.  I suppose getting ximian gnome
or kde working would deflate my 'doddle' argument somewhat :)
