Hi all,

Got back from my hols to find all was working well with my OpenMail
server (although I still haven't learned to love it). The only problem
was that X was eating up all my processor time:

CPU states: 13.0% user, 76.7% system, 9.9% nice, 0.1% idle
Mem: 255092K av, 249492K used, 5600K free, 476K shrd, 8748K
buff
Swap: 525240K av, 130540K used, 394700K free 50444K
cached

PID USER PRI NI SIZE RSS SHARE STAT %CPU %MEM TIME COMMAND
21619 root 15 -1 5408 1796 1392 R < 73.7 0.7 2998m X
22525 nobody 16 10 992 956 832 R N 23.2 0.3 2:04 wander
23414 root 16 0 1220 1220 864 R 2.6 0.4 0:00 top

The system is in a secure location so I always used to leave the console
logged in running X (via startx). Under 2.0.36 kernel / XFree
3.something this was never a problem.

Its not the end of the world....but a minor niggle. Anybody know why it
does this? If there is an easy fix?

Colin
