Splendid! In as much as crap throughput is better than a failure to put-through :-/. There's a pretty good section on tuning NFS is one of the howtos that you'll be able to find through google that might be worth a read and might help you push the block size up again or otherwise improve those numbers. But if it is down to your network card (or the driver I guess - I'm not really sure where the issue lies with this) not handling larger blocks then this might be the best you can do without changing hardware.
