OK - looking to buy some new hardware, but looking for some Linux advise:

1. Hope to buy a PCI - USB card (generic from ebuyer probably): PCI card
with 4 USB slots. The mobo I have (Jetway crap) certainly support USB (or
at least it has a connector for it on the board) but I was just wondering
if anyone knew how hard it would be to get this recognised in Linux. I
haven't a hope in Windows (Win95 OSR1 - don't see the need to buy anything
newer), but thought it should work in Linux.

2. I want to get a cheap USB Digital Camera/Webcam. I had been looking at
the Mustek GSmart Mini, but the advise on a Linux USB device database
implied that I would struggle to get it working. I also saw the SiPix
StyleCam, but the outlook doesn't look good either. Can anyone recommend a
(preferably) sub-40 lump of plastic that'll do the works in Linux.

Many thanks

Ben Thorp (mrBen)
