The Maemo 2.2 tutorial recommends scratchbox 1.0.7 or do you mean the
apophis version? I don't know what apophis is.

Apophis is the release name of the 1.x-series of Scratchbox, 1.0.7 is
an individual package number. For example, I think that in eg. Apophis
r4 release includes 1.0.7, 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 versions of the individual
packages.

But is that a question of version? http://scratchbox.org/debian seems to
me to be the parent dir for any version on the server.

Yes, but from the news section on scratchbox.org front page:

"
2007-06-08 New debian repository policy

The scratchbox.org debian repository has changed. You can find
different scratchbox releases available for you with "deb
http://scratchbox.org/debian/ release-name main", for example:
apophis-r4, 0.9.8. If you want the latest stable or the latest legacy
version, use stable/legacy instead of release name. The old repository
located at http://scratchbox.org/debian/ ./ is now obsolete. Update
your sources.lists.
"
That helped. Thank you very much, though you took away my tutorial. :-)

I will play a little with the debian installer, trying to help myself at this point. Maybe I come back to the list later. Thanks again, Kalle.
