Hi list,

I encountered a problem using Scratchbox 1.0.7 on my notebook.

My sandbox worked perfectly, and I was able of pinging any host from inside Scratchbox.

I moved from my network to a different one. So I had to change the network configuration of my PC from a static IP to DHCP. I rebooted the PC, then I discovered that the network inside Scratchbox did not work anymore: I was not able of pinging any host.

After about half hour, I discovered the existance of the /scratchbox/etc/resolv.conf file (different than the /etc/resolv.conf file inside Scratchbox and the /etc/resolv.conf of the host machine).

I found out that the DNS inside that file was wrong because it has not been updated when I had changed network settings.

So, my question is: why this file is not just a link to the /etc/resolv.conf file of the PC, so that it is automatically updated whenever the _main_ resolv.conf file is changed ??

Thanks,

       Claudio
