A lot of people seem to want to be able send the windowlist to STDOUT.
However, the main developers say that is not possible or going to
happen.
I think it is easy for screen to save to a file (e.g. hardcopy
command). So it would be useful if screen could save the windowlist
to a file. Then people can write a little
tool/function/alias/script... like:
screen -X 'windowlist -f /tmp/windowlist'
cat /tmp/windowlist
