I have an A7V, not the A7Pro, but I think the main difference is the
number of slots more than anything else. On the A7V there is a green
light on the MB that comes on when the board has power, does the Pro
have that light and if so does it light up. If not you may have a dead
board or bad power supply. These boards are very easily damaged when
the HSF is clipped on to the processor. There are traces close to the
surface that can be easily damaged, and you must use a fan with
Athlons, they will burn up in seconds if there is no fan, if the fan
is improperly installed or if you fail to remove the plastic pad on
the heatsink. Also check that you haven't shorted out the board by
improper grounding.
What should happen when you plug the power supply into the mains is
that the green light should come on and the fans should start up and
run for a moment and then shut down. You would then have to press the
power button on the front of the case to power up the board.
Good luck, these boards can be a lot of trouble to set up properly due
to the Via chipsets, but they are very fast and tweekable when
properly set up. The key is to read the manual and to pay attention to
what it says. what worked with other boards may not work with the A7.
