Grab your Phillips, it's... The Latest from The Screwdriver List! Has anyone heard of Gateway Communications, Inc.? A few years ago I dug a "G/Ethernet PC" card out of a dead PC. It's an 8-bit card made in late 1991. As far as I can work out, JP1 is port selection and JP2 is IRQ. JP4 and the DIP switch bank still elude me. I'd like to use it to tie an old PC into a net (Ethernet, TCP/IP). And while I'm at it, can anyone tell me anything about the Fujitsu MB86950 network chip? I have another 8-bit card that could be used to tie the other oldster into the same net. I've found a packet driver that works for it, though intended for the MB86955, IIRC. What is the difference between the two anyway? FYI, one machine, Tinuviel, is a Corona (pre-Cordata) PC400, the other, Barbie, an Amstrad PC1512. OffTack: How many of you have seen 64-pad SIMMs?
