Hi,

Flashing your BIOS ususally clears your CMOS settings too - have you
checked your settings for which device will be used to boot from?  By
Default, a lot of BIOSes will only boot from the Floppy Drive if the
Hard Disk fails for some reason.  Check under 'ADVANCED CMOS SETUP', or
'BOOT DEVICES', depending on your BIOS Type, to be sure that the Floppy
Drive is first in your boot sequence.

Also, if that doesn't help, you could try booting the machine from a
boot disk with no HDD attached to the IDE Bus, to see if that lets you
boot.
