I'll second (third?) the recommendations for Robin William's "Non-Designer's Design Book".
One other one I like a lot isn't strictly speaking a design book, but a typographical book: Robert Bringhurst's "The Elements of Typographic Style" Messy Amazon.com URL: http://www.amazon.com/Elements-Typographic-Style-Robert-Bringhurst/dp/0881792063/sr=8-1/qid=1157360186/ I read the 2nd edition from my local library, and liked it so much I bought the current (3rd) edition for myself. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
