AFAIR installing an extra ppd with hplip isn't needed because it brings in all necessary stuff.
By all means you could extract the ppd from https://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/files/hplip/3.21.2/hplip-3.21.2.tar.gz/download But according to https://www.openprinting.org/printer/HP/HP-LaserJet_P2055dn the printer supports postscript anyway, so you should be fine with a generic PS setup.
