Oh I forgot: The emailing of a new password when you forget yours, or the email redirected to you from another App Central user, also will fail to reach you when your primary email address of your profile is a comcast.net address, so if so, you'll need to change it as well.

Hi all scripters, Aaron has figured out the issue, and here it is: * One thing I needed reminding of is that all app developers have a profile on App Central, and in there are two fields for email addresses: One is used to allow others to contact you via App Central, without revealing your email address. The other is further down the page, and allows you to enter multiple email addresses (separated by commas) where your apps may choose to have their emailed error reports sent to. If your app uses an email address which is not in this list, then the end user will get an error message from the GW toolkit error handler, saying that it had a problem sending the error report. * There's an incredibly beroque system of servers talking to servers behind the email error reports system. Somewhere along the way there's a disagreement between someone and comcast about something, and they won't allow emails to flow on to any comcast.net email address. This was my issue, since that's where I had my email reports going to. The company involved already knew about this, which makes me think it's not going to be fixed any time soon. So, I am going to setup an account on something like gmail, add it to my App Central profile error reports list, and then edit all my apps and republish them so that they will send their errors to this new address. As far as I know, if you aren't using comcast.net email addresses for your error reports, you don't have to do anything. Still, I'd arrange a test for yourself to see if you get your error reports, just in case other ISPs are being blocked. Thanks to Rod, Orlando, and Aaron for all the help in tracking this down. Until I get a chance to do this, if you are getting any errors in one of my apps, please do save it as a file and attach it to an email and send it to me at: acora...@comcast.net Thanks, Chip -----Original Message----- From: Scripting [mailto:scripting-bounces+lists3717=comcast....@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Chip Orange via Scripting Sent: Wednesday, May 20, 2015 11:42 AM To: David; Window-Eyes Scripting List Subject: RE: are you receiving email error reports from your apps? Thanks David. If you have time, would you mind just adding an error statement to one of your apps, and then sending yourself an error report, and letting us know if you receive it? I've tried this myself, and am not receiving my error reports, and I've had several users (such as Orlando) help me out by reporting to me that they've sent error reports (which I never received). I've let Aaron know about this, and he's looking into it, but I'm not sure if he's drawn any conclusions as to whether it's just me or not. I guess it would be helpful to him either way, if others would try this and let us know their experiences. Chip, Just wondered, if this could possibly have to do with the migrations done from GW to AISquared. Maybe the staff could enlighten us all a bit more on this one. No, I haven't received any error messages lately on my apps, and honestly only a couple earlier in time. Whether this is due to technical email trouble, the fact that people don't bother to send them in, or simply because my apps happened not to produce the reports - I have no clue. Kind of just figured that since I did not hear anything, things went well. Don't know if any of this was of any help to you. Just thought to let you know my personal experiences.
