Personally, I favor the BSD license as well. I guess I'm not bothered  
by people using free software (and one can always add their OWN  
license to prevent the use in non-free compilers).

To be honest, there will be few non-free compiler vendors that will  
do that (the "not invented here" syndrome). I think it is a moot  
point, to be honest.
