Borut, I do not see how your support ticket is related to a spam attack.
Furthermore, it is my experience that a confirmation request by e-mail does not stop spam-bots from registering and posting. Can't we just restrict usage to SF users only? Or is the mediaWiki only an intermediate step? I find it very hard to find good information about the upgrade on SF. But here's how I understand it now: SF discontinues hosted apps and we can move them to the project web server and bring them under our full control. Side effect is that we must administer our user database. This goes for Trac and mediaWiki. Since we use Trac for the wiki only and Allura will provide another wiki we prefer to migrate to that one later on, right? But there is no direct upgrade possible from Trac to Allura. And there are from Trac to mediaWiki and also from mediaWiki to Allura, right? So that is why we use mediaWiki right now? And since the mediaWiki is susceptible to spamming we handle the registration manually right now? Please tell me if I'm totally wrong.
