Sean Connery is much too old for the part. I nominate Rod Stewart. Has
anyone else noticed the uncanny resemblance? Especially in his pre-SDRE
when he had much more of the "rock star" image with crazy hair and stuff.
When I saw the Posies at Bumbershoot last year, I thought he was a roadie
when he started tuning up (he was doing some bad rocknroll cleches and
wearing a skirt). The guy could be Rod Stewarts younger brother or son or
cousin or roommate or something. Dont get me wrong, I've seen joe before
and after he joined Sunny Day and I think he rocks and has come to fit the
band as it is today better than Palmer did. I am not saying he sounds are
acts like Rod, he just has this weird resemblance going on. Just my
thoughts.

Subject: [sdre-l]: Joe vs. Nate: The Movie

>The movie stars Sean Connery as Joe Skyward, and Michael Maronna from 'Pete
&
>Pete' as Nate Mendel. Connery's accent still rides the nerves, and his
>attitude is as in all of his films, but the chase scene is a little bit
>original. I hear Ron Howard really wanted their love of music to show, even
>with all the action, violence and all...
