Right on Ben!!!

Just a reality check for all those who don't know the way that the
record industry works. There ARE NOT, contrary to popular belief,
record company thugs that hang out in studios with guns and chain saws
insisting that a band plays a certain way. All the companies really
ask is that the job gets done and gets done right. The only thing that
could truly change the music and the sound is the band and it's
producer. I don't foresee a SDRE hip hop album happening just cause a
record exec. thinks thats the cool thing. Get my drift?
I will not deny that the industry is cut throat. If your not
producing they're gonna cut your ass. Would you start a business and
keep a guy working for you if he doesn't do jack? Doubt it.
Look at it this way, If they have to keep paying for everything out
of their own pockets, this isn't gonna last long. In order to keep
being a great band they need to keep focus in the music and not spend
their energy trying to organize a profitable business. They need to
get whats theirs while the time is right.
                                  Just some thoughts
                                         Jeff
