I'm vegan but I haven't ever felt the need to know about smoking, I don't. Sorry I can't help there. I know that some alcoholic beverages have animals in them. Some vegans don't eat yeast so beer would be out. Guinness is animal-ridden. I know that some types of rum and vodka are cleared through using animal bones.
